A child’s name possesses the power to take him places. So when his father named him “Johnmark”, a name of strong biblical origin, he blessed him with two attributes which define this talented artist; gracious and consecrated.

Johnmark who is of Jamaican decent has come to call Antigua home from a young age. His music fascination was awoken by his family and major influences like Michael Jackson and Usher. Later when he surrendered his life to Christ, his musical interest changed and the music of Jermaine Edwards and Mali Music became his favorites.

Johnmark’s musical journey began in 2011 when with much apprehension, he joined a group at his high school, the Antigua Grammar School, which later went by the name Music is Art (M.I.A). It was then that he began to gain confidence in his talent and it wasn’t long before he functioned as lead singer in the group.

Although Johnmark was gaining popularity, it was in 2016 that he describes as  his major success. It was in that year, following his passion for music and ministry,  he entered the Emerge Gospel Competition, where he placed first runner up. His growth, passion, talent and discipline lead to his being signed to Flowmasters Records.

Johnmark’s first single “Well Done” is a reflection of his heart. Although unsure of where the journey of life will take him, Johnmark’s aim is to be a good steward of the talent that God has given him, and  when all is said and done, hear Christ say to him “well done”!
